The Guchen GC34A350 is a high-voltage electric scroll A/C compressor for EV conversions. It runs directly from a 230 to 450 VDC traction battery, and its motor drive is built into the compressor housing, so the air conditioning needs no engine belt and no separate inverter. Control it with a simple on/off signal, a PWM speed signal, or over CAN at 500 kbps. It moves 34 cc per revolution and delivers up to 6.4 kW of cooling on R134a.

Installation notes.
Wire the compressor into the vehicle's pre-charge circuit, because its drive has a large internal capacitor. Make sure that the high-voltage polarity is correct before you apply power, because reversed polarity can damage the compressor. Mount it with its main axis within 15° of level, and ground the housing. Torque the suction and discharge port bolts to 11 ± 1 N·m. The POE oil absorbs moisture, so connect the A/C lines within 5 minutes of opening the ports, then pull a vacuum. After a normal stop, wait 2 minutes before you restart it.
